Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Do you like incorporating a little bit of everything into your workout, from dancing to HIIT drills? Then join Racked Fit Club next Tuesday, November 10th for a free class at the brand new AKT inMotion studio in Nomad! We're heading to the second floor of 1182 Broadway at 6:45pm for the signature Happy Hour class with Emily Mara — 60 minutes of dance-based interval training that combines cardio, strength moves, and flexibility for a full-body workout that's simultaneously challenging and beginner-friendly.
If you're planning on coming, make sure to get there at least ten minutes early to allow for check-in and set-up. Come dressed ready to sweat in moisture-wicking attire — the studio recommends leggings and a tight knit top, and sturdy sneakers are a must. The studio will provide us with Essentia water bottles and towels. You can store everything in their lockers equipped with key pads (no padlocks required) and take advantage of their showers that are stocked with Sisley Paris products, in case you're headed out for a traditional happy hour right after class.
Update: The class is now full — thanks to everyone who signed up, and we'll see you next week!
Want in on the action? We've got 22 spots to fill. Send an email here with the subject line "Racked Fit Club" and your name in the body of the email. We're accepting participants on a first-come, first-serve basis—and sorry, we can't accept reservations for friends; each person who wants to attend must send a separate email. Anyone who sends an email after the class is filled will be put on the wait list, and we'll notify you if space frees up.
