Does This Mysterious Pop-Up Mean Marc By Marc Jacobs Is Back From the Dead?

Six months ago, Marc Jacobs announced that it'd be discontinuing its diffusion line, Marc by Marc Jacobs. No one was sure what would be the fate of the brand's many West Village stores (one of them has already been replaced by Want Les Essentiels), but this morning, The Shophound spotted something that may suggest a different fate for the men's store.

The photo above reveals that the windows of 382 Bleecker Street have been completely blacked out and adorned with a sign that reads, "Marc By Marc Jacobs Pop Up Opening October 30th." The blog posits that it could mean anything from a final farewell sale (YES PLEASE) to the reveal of a greatest hits collection, but an alternate theory is this: a store dedicated to the spooky ghost of Marc by Marc Jacobs, just in time for Halloween.
