This Is What the 3.1 Phillip Lim Sample Sale Line Looks Like Right Now

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Good news: The doors to the 3.1 Phillip Lim sample sale opened early! Bad news: That doesn't mean you won't be standing in line. Racked NY associate editor Channing Hargrove just checked out the scene in front of 151 Wooster Street and saw people shuffling in as early as 20 minutes prior to the scheduled 12pm start, but hopeful customers still stretched as far down the block as The North Face store. At that time, about 70 were waiting to get in.

Stay tuned for more updates from this sale — one of the highlights in a week that's filled with them — including a full report from the inside (spoiler: Pashlis are back! Check it all out here).
