Before Bottega Veneta takes up residence in its crazy-expensive townhouse on the Upper East Side, it's making a pit stop several blocks south. Frequent Racked tipster Jim Shi tweeted to us the luxury brand's forthcoming set-up at 650 Madison Avenue — the address that housed Crate & Barrel for the past 20 years up until this summer — that's prepping for a "holiday season" opening.

Shi also mentioned that it's where customers can find the brand's signature woven bags once it exits its current flagship at 699 Fifth Avenue, the date for which has yet to be announced. That'll leave a slice of prime Fifth Avenue real estate, bookended by Valentino and Tag Heuer, ripe for the taking.
