While the Whole Foods at 240-242 Bedford Avenue has been years in the making (and there doesn't appear to be an end in sight), another chain store has signed on for the development: Dutch brand Scotch & Soda.
After landing inside a former beloved café in the West Village this spring, the Brooklyn shop, its first in the borough, will take up 1,800 square feet of the complex, WWD reports. With high ceilings and concrete and steel fixtures, it's slated to open in November, which we're pretty comfortable with assuming will be well before the grocery store.
