Perhaps without realizing it, Bloomingdale's has just solved the age-old question, "What the hell do I get my boyfriend for Valentine's Day?" In honor of the NBA All-Star Game, which takes place at Madison Square Garden on February 15th, the department store has released a collection of retro-inspired basketball wear, now available at both the Midtown and Soho locations.
After successfully collaborating with the NFL in the weeks prior to last year's Super Bowl, Bloomingdale's finally realized that when it comes to fashion, basketball players—not football players—are the ones to watch: "The NBA guys are the new fashion icons," Kevin Harter, VP of men's fashion direction, told the paper. "They are immaculate dressers and really set the tone for men's wear today."
