After a banner year that included several local store openings, Organic Avenue is scaling back. The Long Island City-based company is laying off 38 employees from the kitchens where its all of its juices and most of its food is made, and a source says it's because of upcoming menu revisions. Apparently, "the changes in the menu require the realignment of the brand's resources." [Crain's]
