Carroll Gardens can see a bit clearer now thanks to the debut of Anne et Valentin at 200 Smith Street. Opened earlier this week, the eyewear shop offers both prescription and non-prescription lenses for regular glasses and sunglasses and is known for its bright and bold frames in "notice-me" shapes. The corner shop is outfitted with plenty of seating—at times looking more like an oversized living room than a boutique—with circular mirrors fitted onto tables for optimal frame testing.

This is the 31-year-old brand's second stateside shop—Anne et Valentin opened on Prince Street near the Bowery nearly two years ago.
