Talk of toxins, whether they exist, and whether juice cleanses flush them out aside, downing bottled kale has its advantages. At best, buying a juice package is like hitting a reset button—one that temporarily weans you off of pizza and bodega bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. And at worst—if you really miss chewing and can't stick to the plan—you'll at least have a fridge full of healthy snacks to sip when that 3pm sugar crash rolls around.

Here, we've broken down the best of NYC's cleanses by package, daily cost, and location. Goop-levels of healthiness (possibly) await.

Melvin's Juice Box

Packages Offered: Melvin's, the juice shop adjacent to Miss Lily's in Soho, offers three levels of cleanses: $58 for one day, $174 for three days, and $290 for five days. Each day of the cleanse features six juices and a nutrient booster shot, most of which change daily.
Price Per Day: $58
Star Juice: "Body Good," a kale, collard greens, swiss chard, celery, apple, ginger, and lemon concoction meant to be sipped as a breakfast replacement.
Location: 130 Houston Street

Juice Press

Packages Offered: Cleanses are kind of Juice Press's thing, and they have a lot to choose from—some even incorporate foods like raw oatmeal and kale salad. But the chain's most famous package is probably the Basic 6, a mix of fruit and veggie juices.
Price Per Day: The Basic 6 cleanse is Juice Press's most expensive at $66.94 per day, and other packages range in price from $35.05 for a half-day cleanse to $63.95 for a cleanse geared towards athletes.
Star Juice: That would be "OMG My Favorite Juice," a blend of celery, cucumber, pear, grapefruit, kale, and parsley.
Location: You can't walk too far in Manhattan without passing by a Juice Press, and there are also outposts in Williamsburg and Long Island City. See a full list of locations, here.

BluePrint Cleanse at Exhale

Packages Offered: The six-juice cleanses come in three different levels, designed for cleansing newbies, occasional cleansers, and juice fast pros. There's also the Exhale Spa Package ($295), which pairs a three day cleanse with three classes at Exhale and a "healing spa therapy."
Price Per Day: $65
Star Juice: The cashew, vanilla, cinnamon, and agave juice almost tastes like liquid cookies.
Location: Exhale Spa locations at 980 Madison Avenue, 200 E 66th Street, and 150 Central Park South

One Lucky Duck

Packages Offered: There are two "not-just-juice cleanses" to choose from: Glow (for weight maintenance) and Shine (for weight loss). Both plans team green juices and smoothies with light vegan dishes like zucchini lasagna and spicy Thai lettuce wraps, and are available in three, seven, and ten day packages.
Price Per Day: Shine starts at $234 ($78 per day) and Glow starts at $249 ($83 per day).
