Ralph Lauren's Double RL & Co. Appears to Be Exiting Nolita

The Ralph Lauren empire has had its New York City focus on the Fifth Avenue Polo store and restaurant as of late, but that doesn't mean its other brands haven't been making moves elsewhere on the island. Bowery Boogie noticed that not one, but two leasing signs have appeared at the Double RL & Co. store on the corner of Prince and Mulberry streets.

Its presence here since 2001—practically ancient by boutique standards—helped to usher in the shopping scene that the neighborhood is known for today. There's no word yet on a closing date, or on what could replace it.
