No longer will your workout at Barry's Bootcamp begin by sprinting to an open treadmill as soon as the studio doors open—Well + Good reports that the fitness mecca will debut treadmill and floor reservations at its New York studios on Monday. The good news? You won't risk an elbow throw from that muscly chick jockeying for a Woodway in front of the fan. The bad news? You need to get to the studio 30 minutes before class to book that spot.
"We've been wanting to improve the Barry's experience by offering a 'select your spot' platform for quite some time," company COO and hot trainer Joey Gonzalez told the website. "The design has been in the works for a year.
"By allowing clients to pick their favorite treadmills and benches, we're simultaneously eradicating any confusion during transitions and ensuring nobody loses their respective place," he added. "Additionally, this will put an end to the 'customer pile-up' outside the studio."
By the end of next month, this system will move online, when Barry's debuts a re-worked website. And hopefully, we'll have that Noho studio before then—a Facebook post from September 10th reads: "The NoHo location is just a couple of weeks away! Get ready for a special opening weekend. More details SOON!"
