Is Nolita trying to keep its Australian brand ratio in check? That's one (incredibly improbable) theory as to why luxury shoe brand Feit Direct is opening at 2 Prince Street. Bowery Boogie reports this just a few days after word came that The Crumpler would be closing their nearby outpost on Spring Street.

Though Feit Direct has opened pop-up shops in the past on the Lower East Side, the forthcoming store, located in the former home of Miss Hoe, will be the first permanent NYC outpost for the brand.

No word on what the inside of the store will look like just yet, but it'll likely offer the uber-minimalist, often hand-sewn footwear like the pair pictured above (most of which are in the $500 range), as well as leather watches and wallets for men and women.
