A free weekly bootcamp in Brooklyn is about to go brick-and-mortar. CrossFit Outbreak will open at 10 Grand Avenue—following the success of a recent Saturday workout series in Fort Greene Park—on October 10th, according to local blog Fort Greene Focus.
"[I] have been fortunate to see the area grow and develop," said co-founder Adam Sturm. "Unfortunately, while we've seen many welcome additions to the community, we haven't seen any new gyms…We decided to open CrossFit Outbreak in Clinton Hill to fill this void."
CrossFit Outbreak will offer group strength, endurance, and mobility classes every day, with lesson plans that allow each participant to train at their own level—so don't be intimidated if you haven't Crossfit-ed before.
To get a taste of the new studio before it opens, check out the free Saturday classes, which take place in front of the Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument at 9:30am and 10:30am. Or have a peek at the forthcoming class schedule and the free trial periods the gym is offering its new members at CrossFit Outbreak's website—like $175 a month for unlimited classes and open gym access.
