So about that alcohol-serving Starbucks in Williamsburg you've been hearing so much about? As it turns out, the local community board denied the chain its liquor license, which would have allowed it to sell beer and wine, our sister site reports. Why? Because Starbucks, a brand recognizable to pretty much everyone, failed to include its name in the application.
Now the community board is forcing the company to post clear signage on its North 7th Street storefront, as well as do some neighborhood outreach, before re-applying next month.
