Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

While Lord & Taylor has long been the forgotten middle child of New York's department stores, they've been making a strong (and convincing) case for millennials to hit up their second floor over the past few weeks. On the heels of Brand Assembly's debut comes the revamped shoe department, upgraded with luxe finishes and a slew of new offerings.

In addition to the staples like Sam Edelman, Steve Madden, and Free People, the department store has added Racked favorite Matt Bernson, Schutz, Dune London (which recently opened downtown), and Kurt Geiger (which recently shuttered downtown) to its ever-expanding offerings. Plus, there's a big selection of Nike sneakers that work for both the gym and everyday wear.

Head over to upgrade your fall footwear—with plenty of flats for under $100 and booties for under $200, you likely won't find yourself in the position of having to choose between two must-haves.
