The Alexander McQueen Sample Sale Might As Well Be Over

The Alexander McQueen sample sale was heavily picked through as of yesterday afternoon. We stopped by to see what was left, only to find a heavily diminished selection across the board. Aside from ready-to-wear, nearly everything else has been cleaned out.

The small selection of accessories still left includes a handful of clutches (but none of the knuckle clutches), two pairs of sunglasses, a few belts, and some iPad cases. Whatever wallets leftover have now been marked down from $125 to $100, but again, the selection is limited.

The shoe selection has substantially decreased. For women, the table of specialty shoes is nearly wiped out, while the racks with $200 heels are mainly made up of black leather gold-studded sandals, with a couple other random styles mixed in. For dudes, there are plenty of Puma sneakers still left in red or black, but that was basically it.

For women's apparel, the racks with ready-to-wear and specialty pieces have now been mixed together. There's some really spectacular pieces in the latter category, but just beware of the steep prices—upwards of $2,000.

Nothing else has been marked down besides the wallets, and when asked about more stock coming in, a Soiffer Haskin staffer replied that the odds were 50/50—they'll send subscribers an email to let them know. The sale runs through tomorrow, so if more stock is arriving, hopefully it will be by today.
