The Upper East Side has been waiting on this Whole Foods location for two years already, so what's a few more months? Local business site East 86th Street Association reports that the chain will finally open at Third Avenue and 87th Street by the end of the year.
So it looks like the Second Avenue Fairway will have a bit of competition—although it was proven to be cheaper than several other neighborhood grocers.
