Alexander Wang put Brooklyn on the Fashion Week map back in February with his unprecedented show at the Navy Yard, which came along with loud grumbling from the fashion set (Vogue UK included). And it looks like the H&M collaborator heard them loud and clear: Fashionista is reporting that Wang's show will return to its old home at Pier 94 come Fashion Week in September.
Editors and the like were perturbed earlier this year that one of the biggest shows of the year was so far away from the rest of the action, making it difficult to attend other events that day. Wang tried to make it as easy as possible, even providing step-by-step directions on his invitations.
But nobody could control the frigid weather that surrounded the last NYFW. "MEMO to Wang: travelling into the deepest depths of Brooklyn on an icy Saturday night doesn't put show-goers in the best of moods," Vogue UK wrote.
Regardless of the show's reception, it looked as if Wang had started a trend with the location—Dior held its resort 2015 show there in May, providing water taxis from Manhattan. Think any designers will venture to show there this season?—Rebecca Jennings
