A Hamptons nightmare, come to life: It took an Upper West Side doctor eight years to realize the vintage Birkin she bought at Southampton consignment shop Collette in 2005 for $3,425 was a fake. The error was discovered when she brought it to an Hermés store for a cleaning last year, and now gynecologist Tara Allmen is suing Collette for $50,000 in punitive damages after her "humiliating, quick dismissal" from Hermes.
