Barneys Warehouse Sale: More Discounts, More In-House Label

We checked back in on the Barneys Warehouse sale last night to find plenty of merchandise for both men and women. The most important thing to know is that there have been markdowns—all apparel is an extra 40% off, while shoes, leather, and accessories are an extra 25% off the lowest marked price.

Specifically for men, suits, trousers, and outerwear is an additional 25% off, while dress shirts have been bumped down to $59 (from $95) and tees are just $39. Overall, the sale is still heavily made up of Barneys label, as we originally reported, with other designers sprinkled throughout.

The women's section still consists lots of casual wear like jeans, sweaters, and tees. There's Rag & Bone skinny moto jeans for $53, Helmut Lang cotton blazers for $89, and Vena Cava cropped knit cardigans for $65. Higher-ticket items include a Theyskens Theory sequined jacket for $407, and Dries Van Noten long-sleeved lace dresses for $167.

For accessories, a solid selection of shoes and bags remain, and the sizing distribution for the shoes seemed more or less even. Look for Marni platform loafers for $336 and Barneys suede creepers $141 in footwear. On the bag tables, there's still lots of Deux Lux, like studded totes for $104. Unfortunately, there are no more sunglasses available.

The men's section is still stronger than the women's, even this late in the game. Aside from the discounted shirts mentioned earlier, strong pieces include Basco cable-knit sweaters for $119, John Varvatos cargo pants for $65, and Giorgio Armani lightweight rain jackets for $584.
