As one chapter closes at Brooklyn organic beauty spot Shen, another begins. WWD is reporting that co-founder Jules Stringer is leaving the boutique after nearly four years, leaving Jessica Richards in charge.
"Jules wasn't so interested in expanding," Richards told the paper, while making clear that she feels the exact opposite. "I want to really grow my business," she added. "I would like to be the next Space NK."
After adding a station for facials and brow maintenance in store earlier this year, Richards will debut a "full service spa" at the beginning of next month that'll also include "waxing, laser hair removal and acupuncture," the paper says.
She's also looking for a Williamsburg storefront to open next year—perhaps to fill the gap that Woodley & Bunny left behind.
