If you're living in Gracie Mansion, why wouldn't you throw a house party? That's exactly what mayor Bill de Blasio is doing next Wednesday, when he hosts a Fashion Week kickoff party for CFDA members—invitations were sent to the likes of Diane von Furstenberg, Prabal Gurung, and Zac Posen. Both the mayor and his wife have shown strong support for the city's fashion industry in the past—Chirlane McCray wore a made-in-New York Nanette Lepore dress to de Blasio's inauguration. [WWD]
