Well, this is much more useful than a Blockbuster. Lower East Side blog The Lo Down noticed signage for a Ricky's at 250 East Houston Street, which has previously served as home to the long-gone video rental store (as well as a Halloween costume pop-up shop).
There's no opening date yet, but we've reached out to Ricky's and will update when we hear back. There's already nearly two dozen of the beauty store around the city, including two within a 15-minute walk from this location.
Update: Bowery Boogie is first reported that this location is just a temporary Halloween costume outlet. And now Ricky's has confirmed to us that this location is a "test pop-up, and that "depending on the response, it could become a permanent Ricky's NYC store." They have yet to set an opening date for the pop-up, but it'll be sometime next month.
