Welcome to Racked New York's search for New York City's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile sixteen smoking locals—fitness experts who not only look hot in spandex, but can make you look amazing too. Once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which readers vote for their favorites. Let the games begin!

It's safe to say that Jason Tran has been around the block a few times—in New York's fitness world, that is. This cross-training enthusiast who left the corporate world to become an indoor cycling instructor in 2012 has already taught at New York Health and Racquet Club, New York Sports Club, Reebok Sports Club/NY, Sports Club/LA, and Revolve Fitness. He recently landed at Swerve Fitness, and is also teaching strength training classes at The Fhitting Room.
Jason posts his weekly workout schedule on his blog, so that his dedicated fans (they even have a hashtag—#tranfans) can sweat alongside him while he's not teaching. Read on to find out the song that gets him going for a workout, his fitness worlds to live by, and his celebrity body inspiration that we can totally get behind.
