The past 24 hours have been an emotional roller coaster for the residents of Prospect Heights. Rumors of a Trader Joe's coming to Washington Avenue and Lincoln Place flooded local sites yesterday, but now the bathtub of hope has been drained—there's no mention of a second Brooklyn store on the grocery chain's store calendar, and an inside source says that "most growth efforts are focusing in Colorado, Texas and Florida right now."
