Summertime is a particularly hard time to find the right makeup for your skin—between dealing with heat and humidity and perhaps picking up a tan (or maybe a burn here and there)—your skin's appearance and needs have probably changed a bit since May.
The game plan? Updating your arsenal at the bareMinerals Shade Shop, which opens this morning at 118 Prince Street.
The two-floor concept shop, with a raw decor that includes polished concrete floors and wooden fixtures,. has everything sorted by what they call "shade family". That means shoppers will be able to find a range of products that match their complexion—whether it be light, medium, tan, dark, or deep—all in one spot.
Other makeup from the bareMinerals family, including eye and lip products, will be available as well. The shop also plans on hitting the refresh button every season, so expect a whole new look to the shop come November.
In the meantime, check out what's on offer during the grand opening celebration, going on through tomorrow evening. "Make-unders" are complimentary, and drop-ins are welcome. One lucky customer could even win a trip to San Francisco—the home of bareMinerals—for her and a girlfriend.
This address was the former home of Kidrobot, which shuttered in April. The Shade Shop will be open from 10am through 8pm Mondays through Saturdays, and 10am through 7pm on Sundays.
