Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
NOLITA—Meet artist Marilyn Minter (and pick up one of her $20 limited-edition totes, pictured above) at the grand opening of Kiehl's Nolita shop on July 10th. 100% of the proceeds from the bag, which boasts a mini version of Minter's in-store mural, go to benefit Planned Parenthood. Kiehl's is cutting the ribbon on their 223 Mulberry Street space at 6:30PM, but we recommend getting there earlier—the first 50 guests will receive a mystery gift card worth up to $1,000.
LOWER EAST SIDE AND WILLIAMSBURG—7115 by Szeki, our new go-to line for hot-weather basics, just kicked off their July sale. Key pieces from Szeki Chan's summer collection are 20% to 30% off through the end of the month at 7115's Rivington and Grand Street shops. Score a sleeveless linen dress for $103.60 (down from $148) or a silky romper for $78.40 (down from $98). More details here.
