Ousted American Apparel CEO Dov Charney was spotted last night at the company's East Houston Street store, to what sounds like the dismay of its employees. @jensnow lays out the scene on Instagram:

Dov Charney is in the American Apparel store on East Houston Street. I asked the employees at the counter if it was him, and one nodded "yes" tentatively, and the other asked me, "And how was your day at work?" with an intonation of palpable discomfort.

To recap, Charney was fired in June over alleged misconduct, and a leaked termination letter was posted to Buzzfeed shortly thereafter. (Specifics, which include violations of company policies, codes of ethics, and a misuse of corporate assets can be seen here.) Perhaps he should stick to shopping online.
