BOOM: Staten Island's Empire Outlets just signed its first tenant—Nordstrom Rack. And, unlike the city's six other Nordstrom Racks, this 34,000-square-foot outpost will share a waterfront mega-compound with roughly 100 discount retails (and the world's largest ferris wheel).

Empire Outlets is slated to open on Black Friday, 2016, which means we have two years of tenant announcements to look forward to. As for the rest of the shops, "It's going to be high-end European fashion brands, [among others]" said Don Capoccia of BFC Partners, the firm developing the mall. "It will be the usual suspects."
