There's been a Yumi Kim sample sale quietly going on in Nolita this week, and we popped in around lunchtime to check out what's left. In short? Basically everything. A sign in the window advertises prices that are up to 80% off retail, but they've already taken their happy red slasher pen to sale signs.
Prices are as follows: Beaded dresses are $35; dresses of all lengths, rompers, and jumpsuits are $30; beaded tops are $25; silk tops, skirts, shorts, and pants are $20; and shoes are $10 (there were only a few pairs left though). Accessories, including bangles, necklaces, rings, and more, top out at $10.
Racks here are stuffed with merchandise that doesn't look to be organized by size—it seems like small was the most popular size, but we easily found mediums and large in the mix as well. Nothing that we saw looked damaged, but most of the silk pieces could use a good steam.
Mini and maxi dresses dominated the selection, most adorned with signature Yumi Kim bright florals. Since original prices on these dresses can go upwards of $200, there's definitely steals to be had.
The sale runs through 7pm tonight and wraps up tomorrow evening—despite an advertisement on their website that says it runs through August 1st. Sales associates said they don't plan on doing any further markdowns as of now, but there could be a price drop an hour or two before they close on Thursday night.
