Crunch Gym Is Now Open for Business in Tribeca

After a failed attempt to secure a previous location in the neighborhood, Crunch is now open for business at 80 Leonard Street in Tribeca. The 23,000-square foot fitness facility has new equipment, group fitness classes and personal training options, plus saunas and steam rooms.

The gym chain took over a fitness center called Eastern Athletics at this location, the Tribeca Citizen reported last month.

Previously, Crunch had been scouting space at 140 Franklin Street, a condo building that counts J. Crew's Mickey Drexler as a resident. However, the building's board got the courts involved and halted the transaction.
