On the heels of one dance cardio movement opening its own studio comes another, though the two offerings couldn't be more different. Well & Good writes that Doonya, a workout inspired by the dancing in Bollywood films, will establish its first studio on Broadway at 27th Street this September.
"The key word for us is for it to feel like home for Doonya Doers: warm, open, bright and energetic are words that come to mind when in the space," co-founder Priya Pandya told the wellness website.
Until it's ready, they'll continue to hold classes in rented spaces around the city. You can buy individual sessions or class packages, and it's also available to Classpass users.
When they do open, they'll be joining what is essentially New York City's fitness neighborhood—studios in the area include, but are not limited to: Swerve Fitness, Exhale, Uplift Studios, Soulcycle, Chaise Fitness, Peloton Cycle, and Flywheel Sports
