Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The first-ever Auden and Jennifer Behr sample sale began earlier this morning at 11 am in a Garment District suite brimming with headbands, hair pieces, and past season jewelry at deep discounts.

Meticulously arranged on tables, mannequins, and in clear plastic buckets, the headpieces by Jennifer Behr and jewelry by Auden ranged anywhere from $15 to $500 depending on the piece and intricacy of design. Expect to find a variety of earrings for $25 to $35, 1920's-inspired headbands for $60, Lunar necklaces for $100 to $150, and Devon necklaces for $250. We were particularly impressed by the small selection of bejeweled Silk Jersey Turbans that normally retail for $225.

The sample sale will run for a total of 3 days until Thursday, July 31st. Our sources have confirmed both restocking and additional markdowns as the sale nears its end. For more information on times and location, check out the Dealfeed below.—Paula Ya-Jen Ho
