It's been over a year since Valentino announced its takeover of the former Takashimaya Building at 693 Fifth Avenue (and set a rent record), but on Friday, August 1st, the label's largest flagship will finally open.
With 20,000 square feet to fill, Valentino decided to scrap the accessories department in favor of an accessories atrium, New York Magazine reports. The space, which features 27-foot-high ceilings, is home to "snakeskin and camo handbags, women's eyewear, belts, and shoes," neatly arranged on 39 shelves. Clomp around in some Rockstuds and listen to the echoes fill the air above you.
