After a year and a half of bopping around the city in rented lofts and gym spaces, the dance cardio workout ((305)) Fitness has finally found a home to call its own. They're looking to renovate a two-story studio in Greenwich Village—address not specified—that's already equipped with showers, locker rooms, and the ever-important audio system with the help of a Kickstarter campaign that launched yesterday.
"We want to bring the Miami night club atmosphere into the studio so you'll feel like you're truly reliving the best dance floor memories with friends," wrote founder Sadie Kurzban who started the workout with prize money from a business plan competition at Brown University. She added that the space needs "a serious renovation job" and an "architectural face-lift".
As of press time, they've already raised $2,392 of the $25,000 they hope to get by September 2. You can donate as little as a dollar to the cause, but big gifts come with big rewards. $150 gets you a complimentary week of unlimited classes during their soft launch, while $1,000 covers a private class for you and 20 friends with a customized playlist.
The biggest get? A $10,000 donation rewards you with a year of unlimited classes (with the option to pre-book before anyone else), plus a locker with your nameplate on it.
The page doesn't specify an opening date, but Well & Good writes that they're looking to open this fall. "I am really excited to finally give clients a home that they deserve," Kurzban told the site.
