Shh. Do you hear that noise, being carried gently across Long Island Sound on a summer breeze? It's the rustle of freshly-pressed chinos, the tucking and un-tucking of anchor-print polo shirts, and the flapping of sails. Yes, Vineyard Vines—the Stamford, Connecticut-based purveyor of all things preppy and pastel—is coming to Manhattan for the first time ever, WWD reports.

The 2,500-square-foot flagship at 1151 Third Avenue is expected to open in November. And while we have no word yet on if the brand will adapt their aesthetic for New York shoppers, our hopes are high. Imagine: grosgrain ribbon belts embroidered with rats and pigeons, rather than lobsters and whales.
