No, you're not seeing double—New York City really is getting not one, but two outposts for French retailer The Kooples. While our friends in Los Angeles were checking out the new store that just opened there, they got word that the Meatpacking District store should open next month in the former Moschino space, and that'll be followed by a Soho location in the fall.
All we know about the Soho store so far is that it's on Mercer Street, and that they're aiming to open in October. Fashionable neighbors on that block start with Balenciaga just south of Houston Street and end with VFiles near Canal Street.
As for the Meatpacking District, look for that store to open on or around August 8th.
But that's not the end for The Kooples—don't forget they're also signed on for a spot at the World Trade Center shopping complex.
