We've known it was coming since February and now the day is practically here: Chelsea is getting its very own Michael's this Sunday, July 20th, and the arts and crafts store is pulling out all the stops to celebrate its big day.
Shoppers will be let into the 34,000-square foot store at 675 Sixth Avenue at 10am, fifteen minutes after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, with the chance to win gift cards of varying amounts and prizes on the hour throughout the day. Kids and adults alike can also play the Plinko board for a chance to win jewelry, art supplies, and other crafts.
And, of course, it wouldn't be a party without a photo booth. The store is encouraging shoppers to share images with the hashtag #GetCraftyChelsea to document their fun.
Already have plans to hit the beach this Sunday? No worries—this location is hosting free craft demos every day next week starting at 6pm. And you didn't miss out on those prizes, either, since they'll be giving away an entire gift basket each night.
