To really understand a Kiehl's shop, it helps to acquaint yourself with a photo of the skincare giant's CEO, Chris Salgardo (here's one of him looking pensive).
The products may be minimally packaged, but the store interiors are clearly the product of the bearded, Harley-riding, self-identified bear's mind. Case in point: the company's new Nolita shop, where Ann-Margret's pink motorcycle is propped up next to a Marilyn Minter mural of a skull chomping down on a strand of pearls.
Like other Kiehl's locations, the Mulberry Street space is home to a bespectacled skeleton, a photo booth, and a mishmash of neon lights and old-timey botanical prints. Gaze upon the store in all of its disco-apothecary glory, in the gallery.
