Dover Street Market is gearing up for its first biannual full store "tachiagari" (translation: the new beginning), which will coincide with the arrival of new fall collections. To accommodate the revamp, the entire market will be closed on July 17th and 18th, reopening on the 19th.
The total transformation keeps with Rei Kawakubo's original vision for the space to be anything but static. So will the new scheme remain as intent on fusing genders and mixing the high/low (like Prada within feet of Supreme tees).
Unsurprisingly, the store is keeping tight-lipped about the changes; the only way to know will be to check it out when it debuts next weekend. In the meantime, shop the end-of-season sale now, before it ends on the 16th.
