Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Will it have to change its name? Dear:Rivington is leaving the Lower East Side for good at the end of the month and opening on Great Jones Street in July, according to their Facebook page. Before moving to Rivington Street in 2009, owner Moon Rhee occupied a smaller space on Clinton Street, and the shop was simply called Dear.
The boutique that carries both new and gently used merchandise is holding a moving sale throughout June to clear out old product. Sample Sally has a roundup of the accessories on sale, including designer sunglasses for $95 and dishware starting at $5.
