The rooftop cafe at Whole Foods Gowanus won't be serving any (organic, local batches of) hard liquor this summer. The market "yanked" its liquor license application, after the Community Board complained that the market's rooftop cafe doesn't really need to be "a place that has a DJ and hard alcohol and 300-odd seats." A board member explained the market "[needs] to prove itself as a 'good neighbor' before it could earn CB6's trust and a full liquor license." [DNAinfo]
