Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Take a long lunch break today and head to the Nike Hall of Phenomenal Space at 550 Washington Street to watch the World Cup match between the U.S. and Germany at noon. Complex checked it out last week, and sums it up as so:
The space housed soccer memorabilia from past and present and honored the greatest legends of our time. Nike also displayed some of their unreleased product for Nike F.C., exhibited two of their most prominent soccer cleats, the Mercurial Boot and the Magista, and Flying Lotus treated the crowd to a DJ set. At the hub, you can also get kits customized from ten different teams, play on an indoor and outdoor field, or, just hang out and watch the games on one of the ten TVs.
