The Rag & Bone sample sale starts today at 1pm, and we stopped by a little earlier this morning to check it out. The sale includes both menswear and womenswear, marked down up to 60% off, and it's packed. As usual, the discounts aren't that steep: we found that a lot of the items were still pricey by sample sale standards. We were told there won't be any additional markdowns, so if you're planning to go, go now.

There's slightly more in the way of womenswear than menswear, and the stock includes clothes from recent seasons and past-season samples (unfortunately, the samples are priced the same as stock). Tops include cotton tees for $40 as well as a selection of silk blouses and casual cotton oxfords for $115. Shirts with leather details are priced a bit higher at $195, and all-leather tops are $300.

A small selection of blazers and jackets is available for $250 to $595. We found floral denim blazers and silk track jackets for $250, leather-collared blazers for $350, and soft leather moto jackets for $595.

Denim pants ($98) and shorts ($75) from the /JEAN line are housed on a table near the front of the sale. Expect to see pants in a host of cuts and washes, including destroyed boyfriend jeans and skinny printed styles. There are also a few leather pants for $395 and shorts for $225. Upstairs with the rest of the women's stock are silky track pants for $125, leather-paneled shorts for $300, and fringed skirts for $150.

We found a ton of dresses that, while still expensive, could be worth shelling out for. Some highlights include leather-topped tee shirt dresses with lace-up details , collared shirt dresses with pleated sides for $195, and leather-and-suede shifts for $595. Lighter options include pleated chiffon minidresses and cotton eyelet t-shirt dresses, both for $195.

Shoes make up the majority of the accessories selection, with knee-high boots for $300, velvet oxfords and the brand's popular leather Harrow booties for $195, and leather sandals for $150. The staff told us that they have more stock in the back, so if you're having trouble finding your size, it's likely they can find it for you.

As for the ever-popular Newbury Bootie, we only spotted them with black calf hair, and they're completely sold out save for size 35s.

Bags include leather totes for $225 and large Pilot bags for $300 (medium-sized Pilot bags are $225). You'll also find sunglasses for $65, leather wallets and pouches for $125, and a variety of felt and cotton hats for $65.

The slightly smaller men's section is mostly made up of casual gear like tees and jeans, and unlike in the women's section, there are no samples. Pants from the /JEAN line are all $98, while cargo styles and twill pants are tagged $110. We found a bunch of shorts, including colorblocked chambray pairs and printed swimmwear for $65. In addition, you'll find full suits for $360.

Tops include tees in every cut and style, like long-sleeved waffle knits for $65, henleys for $98, and printed short sleeve tees for $40. One massive table holds $98 printed and solid oxford shirts in sizes S through XXL, and there are a ton of different styles to choose from.

Guy's tops are rounded out with a handful of blazers for $250, denim jackets for $150 (ones with leather-sleeves are $225), pullover sweatshirts for $125, and thick-knit cardigans and sweaters for $110.

Guy's accessories include shoes, bags, hats, and ties. Leather slip-on sneakers are $195 and casual canvas sneakers are $125. You'll also find boots and leather dress shoes for $195. For bags, there are backpacks, computer bags, and small duffle bags for $150, plus weekender bags (and some leather-detailed styles) are marked $250. Near the bags, there's a small selection of printed silk ties ($35) and cotton caps ($65).

As we mentioned, the staff has backstock of nearly everything, so they'll be restocking throughout the sale. There is a fitting room, and it's large enough that the lines shouldn't be too bad (though note that when we were there, the line to pay was long). There will be no further markdowns on any of the stock (boo). The sale runs through Friday at 410 W. 16th Street Click to the deal feed for time info.—Gillian Fuller

Update, 6/25: Rag & Bone just told us there will be new women's merchandise added today that wasn't there yesterday, including knits, denim, and ready-to-wear.
