Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Juice Generation's first outpost in Brooklyn will open in Williamsburg at 210 Bedford Avenue the first week of July, with smoothies, shots, and cold-pressed juices in the front, and a decent-size dining area in the back. The store will carry a smattering of raw food options, which we sampled at a four-course vegan dinner last night.
On the menu, you'll find things like cashew cheese ravioli (the ravioli is actually thinly sliced turnip!), kelp noodle salad, and treats like dark chocolate avocado pudding.
The back wall of the shop is made of plants (with a very, very small stream) and has a skylight above it. There's also WiFi, so you can grab a zucchini rollatini and a Joyful Almond smoothie and park it by the plants with your laptop.
