Though the confirmation from the department store itself is yet to come, Saks Fifth Avenue certainly looks to be making a (large) home for itself at Brookfield Place. The authority that controls the use of the retail/office complex just changed the terms of the ground-floor lease "to allow individual retail tenants to occupy up to 80,000 square feet of space, a move that appears to pave the way for a large department store to open there." But according to its chairman, "It's cloak and dagger, because nobody knows who it is." [Broadsheet via TC]
