Last night, a tipster sent us an email from her stylist at Woodley & Bunny, who said that the Williamsburg salon had abruptly shuttered. "We were told at the end of the work day on Saturday, May 3 that the salon would be closing," he wrote. "The doors were locked on Monday." Their Los Angeles salon has also closed, and their website is no longer operational.
"Thank you for all the years of love and support," an image on their Instagram account reads. "Woodley and Bunny has closed ... for good. We are all moving on to better ventures." The account also lists contact information for several of their stylists, so you can follow up to see where your favorite will be snipping strands.
Update: WWD published an article today on four small beauty businesses run by women, including Woodley & Bunny. The paper asked about their outlook for the second half of the year, and Misha and Erin Anderson responded: "Exciting. What will drive sales is the furthering of the natural category." The paper did not indicate when this interview took place.
