The Hester Street Fair that you know and love is about to get super-sized. Saturday, May 31st is the first day that the fair extends into the neighboring Seward Park and basically doubling in size—there'll be an additional 28 vendors, more seating, live music, and new food options.
"We've always thought the area around Schiff Fountain was a beautiful yet underutilized part of the neighborhood," said SuChin Pak, co-founder of the Hester Street Fair (and former MTV News correspondent). "And the trickiest part of our market has been the size…we are always looking for more space!" The expansion came about through a partnership with the Parks Department.
To celebrate the new space, food and fashion sellers will be doing giveaways all weekend long—head over tomorrow or Sunday between 11am and 6pm for your chance to win.
