Like the American Apparel in Williamsburg before it, Mavi Jeans is putting out a call for local artists to submit mural designs for its Fifth Avenue store. According to WWD, the store is looking for someone who creatively answers the question "What's your Brooklyn?"
Submissions will be accepted here starting Monday, May 12th through Friday, June 6th. The winner will be decided on the following Monday by a panel of local residents, including the Brooklyn Museum's exhibition curator and the editor-in-chief of Brooklyn Magazine.
The final design will be unveiled on June 21st, just in time for summer, in what the paper describes as "a neighborhood event."
