Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Celebrate your mom and help out future mothers and children this Mother's Day at a carnival benefitting Born Free at Pier 45. The star-studded event is hosted by Vogue, Diane von Furstenberg, Claire Danes, model Liya Kedebe, and more will feature performances from Ariana Grande and Idina Menzel, family portraits by a Vogue photographer, kicking soccer balls with the New York Red Bulls, shooting hoops with the New York Knicks, face painting by M.A.C makeup artists, and more.

Born Free aims to stop the transmission of HIV from mother to child by the end of 2015. The organization recently teamed up with 22 designers who are also mothers—like Miuccia Prada, Jenna Lyons, and Isabel Marant—for a collection sold exclusively on Shopbop. Priced between $39 and $450, all proceeds directly benefit Born Free.

Interested in attending the carnival? Ticket prices are steep—but it's all for a good cause. Head here to purchase them.
